About TickOff

Shared lists that actually get done.

What is TickOff?

TickOff is a shared to-do app built for the people you live and work with โ€” not for managing your own brain. Most to-do apps assume one person, one list. TickOff assumes two or more people, one shared list, and the small-but-constant coordination problem that creates: who's doing what, when it's due, and whether it actually got done.

You create a group (your household, your crew, your business), invite a few people, and from then on every task lives in one place. Add it on your phone in the kitchen, and it shows up on your partner's phone before they're out of the driveway.

Who it's for

  • Couples โ€” split errands, household jobs, and shared admin without nagging texts.
  • Families โ€” chore lists kids can actually finish, with assigned due dates.
  • Small work crews โ€” daily punch lists, contractor coordination, farm tasks, site jobs.
  • Roommates & flatmates โ€” bills, cleaning rota, shopping list, all in one place.

You can be in more than one group at a time โ€” say, a "Home" group with your partner and a "Work" group with your team โ€” and switch between them with one tap.

What makes it different

  • Designed around shared lists, not solo ones. Multi-assignee tasks, real-time sync, and a member view so everyone sees their own slice of the list at a glance.
  • AI quick-add. Type "pick up the kids 3pm tomorrow for both of us" โ€” TickOff parses the title, the due date, and the assignees automatically.
  • Calendar sync. Everyone gets their own private calendar link for each group, to subscribe to from Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, or Outlook. Tasks with due dates show up alongside your appointments.
  • Push notifications you'll actually want. Get pinged when someone adds a task to your list, or completes one you created. Not for everything โ€” just the things that matter.
  • Equipment, for farms and crews. Every machine's service jobs (by hours, km or months), its service history, its rego and its warranty in one place, with a ping to the people responsible when a service is coming up. A group can have 1 machine free; if anyone in the group has Pro, as many as it likes.
  • Licences, kept private. Each person's driver licence, tickets and certificates (forklift, first aid, chem cert...) with the date each runs out and a photo of the card, and reminders before they do. Nobody else can see your list unless you share it, say with your boss, who then gets the reminders too. A list holds 1 thing free; it's unlimited when you, or someone who can see it, has Pro.
  • Warranties, for the household. The fridge, the TV, the mower: when and where you bought each one, a photo or PDF of the receipt, and a reminder a month and a week before the warranty ends. Your list is private, and shared apart from your licences, so share it with your partner and the whole household's warranties are in one place. A list holds 1 warranty free; it's unlimited when you, or someone who can see it, has Pro.
  • Works on every phone. Install it once to your home screen โ€” iPhone, Android, desktop โ€” and it behaves like a native app. No app store, no waiting for updates.

Privacy, in one paragraph

Everything you put into a group is visible to every member of that group, and to nobody else. We don't sell your data and we don't run ads. You can leave any group, delete any task, or delete your whole account at any time from the profile menu. Full details are in the Privacy Policy.

A bit of background

TickOff was built because the existing shared-list apps either felt like project-management software (too heavy) or like solo to-do apps with collaboration bolted on as an afterthought (too light). We wanted something that was opinionated about being shared from the ground up โ€” real-time sync, and natural-language input that understood phrases like "for both of us" without you having to click through three menus.
